Four stages, and what the system actually is
Oltre is a four-part system. Knowing the names is worth something: it lets you check any quote you’re given, including mine.
Base — Primer
An acrylic binder primer that bonds the system to what’s already there, tile included.
Barrier — Waterproofing
A waterproof membrane, with elastic seal and microfibre mesh at corners and junctions. This is what makes wet rooms possible.
Style — The Finish
Two coats of decorative microcement. Polished or trowelled — this is where your texture is decided.
Top 2K — Sealer
A two-part polyurethane sealer for scratch and detergent resistance. This sets the final sheen.
Worktops, islands & fixed joinery
Microcement isn’t limited to floors and walls. The same finish can be carried across kitchen islands, vanity units, benches and fixed joinery, so a room reads as one material rather than a collection of surfaces meeting at edges.
Kitchen Islands
Waterfall ends, curved returns and integrated splashbacks — shapes that would be costly or impossible in stone.
Vanity Units
Vanities finished to match the surrounding wall and floor, with no visible junction between them.
Benches & Seating
Window seats, shower benches and built-in seating that appear to grow out of the wall.

Refinishing Existing Units
Sound existing carcasses can often be refinished rather than replaced, provided they are rigid and free of movement.
Priced Per Unit
Joinery is quoted individually rather than per square metre, because the time is in the edges and detailing. From £895 per unit.
Ghibli textured paint
A Viero product, not microcement, but from the same family: a decorative textured paint for interior walls with a matt, sandblasted finish. Where a full microcement wall isn’t needed, or isn’t in the budget, Ghibli gives a similar handcrafted texture in a single coat.
Matt, Sandblasted Texture
Applied by brush in overlapping strokes, giving a soft, granular depth that flat paint can’t match.
Single Coat, Fast Turnaround
One coat, touch dry within the hour. A feature wall can be finished in a single visit rather than several days.
Any Colour, Tintometric Matched
Supplied in white as standard, colour-matched on the tintometric system to whatever the room needs.
